how to apply for a visit visa in Saudi Arabia in 2021?

Expatriates with any profession can apply for a family visit visa and bring their family to KSA.

In this article, we describe the latest process for applying for a family visit visa in Saudi Arabia in 2021.

Which person is eligible for a family visit visa?

1-husband/wife

2-children.

3-parents-in-law

4-brother and his family(wife and children)

5-sister and her family(husband and children)

6-sister-in-law(sister by spouse)

7-grandparents

Requirements for the visa

-3 months of Iqama validity

-Now Iqama Professions Including Labor and House Drivers Can Apply for a Family Extension Visa.

step 1: Fill the application

You have needed the following documents to fill the family visit visa application;

-Applicant's passport.

-Saudi visa of the Iqama holder person applying for the visa.

Open this website and click on the Citizens >Resident>Family Vist Visa Application for Residents.

On the next page, click on the green button as shown picture.

-Iqama Number.

-Iqama Expiry Date

The system will Recover some details such as your name, the Iqama profession, the date of birth, and the nationality white you have to enter;

-Office Address in Arabic 

-Saudi visa number

A Saudi visa number is written on the work visa stamped on your passport at the time of entering Saudi Arabia.

On the next page, you need to click on the "Addition" button to enter the details of the family visit visa application.

Now write down all the details of the application that wants to come to Saudi Arabia on a family visit visa. Only the name will be written in English and all other details written in Arabic.

Applicant details:

-name of the applicant

-religion

-date of birth 

-place of birth

-passport number

-passport type

-passport issue date

-passport Expiry date

-passport issuance country

-the embassy from where you want to stamp the visa

-Relationship with the person applying for the visa If you want to apply for a brother or sister, select "Others" here

  And write the relationship in the newly opened box.

Types of Visa:

-Single entry/multiple-entry

-visa validity after stamping

-visa duration in one stay.

-Single entry visa is issued for a period of 30 days with an extension of 30 days in just 5 days ie 180 days.

 - Multiple-entry visit visas are issued for a period of 90 days in which only 1 possible extension is 90 days in each, i.e. 180 days.

  If you wish to apply for a Family Visa visa for more than one family member, click the Additional button again to enter the details of the other applicant who wants to come to KSA..otherwise, write:

The system will ask you to log in to the MOFA website with your Abshar ID to confirm the visitor's visa submission.

Once it's done, the MOFA system will generate an application number.

STEP 2nd: Submit the application

The next step is, you have to submit an application to your own employer to sign it and get a stamp.

 Next, submit an application to the Chamber of Commerce where your employer is registered.

Step 3rd: Check to visit visa application status

Keep checking the status of the family visit visa application from the MOFA website.

As soon as the family visit visa is approved, send it to the country from which the family wants to enter KSA.

In some cases, the MOFA has requested some additional documentation from the residence holder prior to visa approval.  In this case, you need to visit the State Department with the required documents.

Step 4th: Submit the application to the Saudi embassy

Your family will contact an agent at the Saudi Embassy or Saudi Consulate to submit an application. In Pakistan, your family has to make an appointment with Eitmad. 

(You can get an online appointment from the Eitmad website and  can also collect all the documents and go to the Eitmad office by yourself)

At this point, you will pay the fee for a family visit visa to your agent. Here is an approximate breakup of the fee:

-Visa Fee: 300 Sr

-Insurance fee: 100 Sr

 -Other charges: 500

Total fee: about 800 estimated

step 5th: check Saudi visa status

After submitting your passport at the embassy.  You can check the status of a Saudi visa with the online passport number. 

  If the visa is stamped, you need to book a return ticket for the family visit visa holder, the Saudi authorities have the right to deport the visitor visa holder if he/she does not have a return ticket.

Family visit visa through Istiqdam:

In some cases, you might have to apply for the family visit visa through Istiqdam, here is how you need to proceed:

Required Documents:

-Get the appointment from Istiqdam.

-Download the Family Visit Visa application form, fill it out in Arabic, and get it approved by the Chamber of Commerce.

Introduction letter issued by the employer and stamped by the chamber of commerce.

copy of the marriage certificate if you are applying for in-laws. 

copy of iqama and passport.

Vist the Istiqdam office

Submit all the documents to the Istiqdam office and get Green and white paper from them.

Visit the MOFA :

The last step is to visit the MOFA with the printout of the online application and this paper will be given to you through the introduction.

 After submitting the documents, you can check the approval status of the online application.
