  By law, it is not permitted to disclose any information about the body of the donor, whether he is alive or dead, except in legal cases, or if ordered to do so by a judicial authority.  Violators of this order should be punished with a fine not exceeding 500,000 SR.



  The law warns health centers against violating the ban on the use of organs, which are excluded, in addition to what is meant for donations.  Violators will face imprisonment or fines, or both.



  If these organs are essential to the life of the donor, then he is not allowed to donate any human organs.  According to Article 11 of the law, the removal of organs will protect the honor of the donor and protect it from harm.


  The law allows for the preservation of human life, organ transplants, transplants, protection and development.  It also sets out the responsibilities of licensed health centers for organ donation and transplantation and prevents the misuse of patient or donor needs or human organ trafficking.



  The bill was approved by the Shura Council in September 2019.  The Council of Senior Scholars and the Islamic Jurisprudence Council issued a fatwa 22 years ago authorizing the donation of organs from the deceased, the Saudi Gazette reported.
