The vaccination center opens in Madinah

 RIYADH - More than 295,000 people in the country have been vaccinated against the coronavirus so far, Health Ministry spokesman Dr Muhammad Abdul Ali said.

 Meanwhile, a vaccination campaign against the corona virus was launched in Medina, with Prince Faisal bin Salman, the Emir of Medina, and Prince Saud bin Khalid al-Faisal, the Emir of Medina, receiving the first dose of the vaccine.

 Addressing a daily press briefing, Abdul Ali said: "This vaccine is a key and powerful weapon that protects our health."

 He said that those who are eligible to be vaccinated in the country are the first citizens and immigrants who have valid National Identity and Residence Permit Iqama respectively and this will be done after registration through application.

 In Madinah, a vaccination center has been set up at the Newborn Medical Center, adjacent to King Fahd General Hospital. Prince Faisal bin Salman inaugurated the center. There are five pavilions and each pavilion consists of five vaccination stations, while two pavilions have been designated for emergencies.

 Medina is the fourth city to have vaccination centers across the country. The state launched the vaccination campaign with Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq al-Rubayeh on December 17, followed by vaccination centers in Jeddah and Dammam.
