The General Directorate of Passports 'JAWAZAT' in Saudi Arabia announced earlier this month that registration on Abshar would be available to all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) citizens, expatriate dependent and visit visas holders, National Information In collaboration with the Center.



 JAWAZAT said expatriates can register on the Abshar platform using their residence number, visit visa holders and GCC citizens can register with a border number.



The Passport Directorate clarified that all the said persons can register and activate Abshar account through cell service kiosk machines or through licensing branches or through electronic channels of Saudi banks.




Saudi Arabia's Jawazat said it was adapting to the digital transformation of services provided by the passport department to beneficiaries, allowing them to finish their procedures online.




Abshar will also give them access to the platforms of other government agencies related to the Unified National Access Service using the digital residency issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs through the Abishar platform.
