 Riyadh. Saudi Arabia's Interior Ministry has warned against violating the Coronius Prevention Protocol by holding social gatherings for marriage and offering condolences and other such parties and celebrations.



 "Any person who attends or invites to the meeting or commits a violation due to it will be punished with a fine of SR 5,000 and if the violation is repeated, the fine will be doubled." The ministry said in a statement posted on its Twitter account that the man would be referred to the public prosecutor's office if further legal action was taken.



 The ministry said that the fine for violating companies will be SR 40,000 for the first time and will be doubled with the recurrence of the offense and the fine will be doubled for the second offense. And violators will be referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal action.



 A statement from the ministry said, "If the firm is a private company, it will be closed for the first time and for three months if the violation is repeated."



 The ministry appealed to the people to call 999 toll free number in all regions except Riyadh and Makkah and inform about the venue of any gathering in violation of the directive. In both cases, violations will be reported to the 911 toll-free number.



 In one week, 20,502 violators were caught



 The Interior Ministry announced that 20,502 coronavirus prevention violations were detected during the week from January 10 to 16.



 According to statistics released by the ministry, Riyadh recorded the highest number of violations at 7,422, followed by Makkah at 2,871, Qasim at 2,178, and Eastern Province at 2,132. Violated.



 The violations reported in other regions are as follows: Madinah 1,898, Al-Jawf 1,354, Al-Bayah 897, Tabuk 477, Hail 427, Asir 367, Northern Border Region 272, Jazan 123, and Najran 84.



 The ministry urged citizens and migrants to strictly abide by the safety protocol and follow the instructions issued by the concerned authorities in this regard.
