  In Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that pilgrims will be allowed to perform Umrah only once during the holy month of Ramadan.


  However, worshipers can seek permission to offer 5 daily prayers in the Grand Mosque of Makkah during the entire 5 days.


  The Atmarna app clarified that pilgrims who obtain an Umrah permit for Hajj cannot apply for another Umrah permit before the expiration of the first Umrah.


   Umrah pilgrims can also apply for a permit to perform the obligatory prayers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.  It is not possible to obtain a permit for more than 1 day.



 

  Worshipers can apply for a permit on the second day after the first permit expires.  The permit issued for Isha prayers in Ramadan includes the performance of Taraweeh prayers.


  King Salman of Saudi Arabia, the custodian of two mosques, had ordered that the Taraweeh prayers at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque be shortened during Ramadan.


  Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, President of the affairs of the Grand Mosque of Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque, said that Taraweeh prayers should be shortened from 20 rak'ats to 10 rak'ats with the implementation of strict precautionary and precautionary measures to ensure the safety of pilgrims.  Will  And prayer



 

  The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh said that the maximum duration of Taraweeh prayers in all mosques of Saudi Arabia should not exceed 30 minutes.


  Saudi officials have suspended the Itikaf and Iftar rituals at holy mosques during Ramadan, increasing the capacity of the Grand Mosque to accommodate 50,000 security Umrah pilgrims and 100,000 worshipers.
