Riyadh - Saudi Arabia has decided to extend the COVID-19 ban on gatherings, events, recreational activities and food services for another 20 days on Sunday night, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday, citing an official source in the Interior Ministry. Reported early.



This measure, which will take effect from 10 a.m. Sunday (February 14th) was taken as part of efforts to stop the spread of the corona virus in the kingdom, which has seen an increase in new cases in recent weeks.



The bans will take effect for a total of 30 days from the day authorities first imposed the new bans (February 4).



Prevention measures include the following restrictions:-



 1: The attending at social events and gatherings shouldn't exceed 20 people.



 2: All public entertainment and events are suspended.



 3: Cinemas, indoor recreation centers and independent sports centers, including restaurants, malls or other public places, are closed in gyms and sports centers.



 4: Meal service is suspended in restaurants and cafes and is restricted to providing services without the permission of any gathering as a result of these external requests.
