Riyadh - Saudi Arabia has warned citizens and residents not to travel to countries infected with the 12 corona virus without permission, an official Interior Ministry source said on Wednesday.

According to sources, the countries include Libya, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, Turkey, Afghanistan, Armenia, Somalia, Congo, Venezuela and Belarus.

The sources added that the decision was taken due to lack of stability in certain countries, the ongoing corona virus epidemic, and the emergence of a new strain of the virus.

However, those who wish to travel to the above-mentioned countries and to any other country which is not affected by the corona virus epidemic must obtain prior permission.

Sources also demanded that all citizens residing in these countries register their information with the relevant Saudi embassies.
